Zeman Quality Construction

Dedication and detail in every project

For Prospective Employers

If you are seeing this page, it is probably because I have applied for a position in your company recently.  To summarize my career, I have 30 years of widely-varied construction.  I have years of experience in residential framing, finish, cabinets, commercial framing, finish, light-industrial, multi-family, agricultural and scenic.   But my skills extend far beyond carpentry.  I have started (and still retain partial ownership) from a business I have built from the ground up.  I have the skills to lead crews and was a foreman at 19.  I innately understand the entire construction process and flow.  I know many employers will gloss over or ignore my scenic/theater experience and this would be a mistake.  Scenic construction is far harder, with much greater problem-solving skills required.  It forces hard deadlines and tight budgets.  Any scenic carpenter can become a great commercial or residential carpenter, but the opposite cannot be said.  I have worked with other departments, hired/fired staff, managed several projects at the same time.

While I may not have the exact formula of a resume you are looking for, I would not have applied if I did not think I could be successful, and I have been successful at every step of my life.  If you give the opportunity in your company, I promise you that you will find me to be a highly competent person who approaches each job with skill, integrity, and knowledge.

Furthermore, I have worked under dozens of foremen and around dozens of superintendents. My breadth and depth of construction gives me an excellent understanding how different processes work. While I don't have the deep experience in a very specific market focus, I promise that my ability to adapt overcomes much of this deficiency.
